There are a lot of open-source projects around that are based on the popular Chromium browser, the base behind Google Chrome. Slimjet is one of those browser.
In terms of features and interface, Slimjet includes a lot of the familiar and useful features that Google Chrome does but provides a few extras like integration with YouTube and Facebook.
Slimjet is also pretty fast and puts effort into making itself both useful and usable. It also includes a sometimes-useful function which can auto-reload a page after a certain amount of time. Also, Slimjet can convert itself into a Windows “app window”.
Just like Google Chrome, Slimjet supports the bookmark bar, searching the web and can install Chrome extensions with ease.
Slimjet supports private browsing, can block different types of advertisements, supports “Do Not Track” and can also side-step redirects imposed by search engines when clicking a search result.
In conclusion, Slimjet is basically a version of Google Chrome which includes several very useful features and tweaks which make it quite handy.
